Background

Hello, my name is Oliver Ringh, and I’m a Level Designer. I studied at The Game Assembly (TGA) and Malmö/Uppsala Universities, and after that, I worked at BetaDwarf. I’m passionate about crafting fun and engaging gameplay areas and encounters for players. I’m also a positive, social person who enjoys helping others, even in high-pressure situations. This positive attitude and encouragement are qualities my peers have appreciated during my time at TGA and BetaDwarf.

Since childhood, I’ve loved crafting and creating things. After studying Game Design at Uppsala University, I discovered that my true calling was Level Design. This realization led me to TGA, a decision I consider one of the best I’ve ever made, as it solidified my passion for Level Design. Since then, my passion and skills have grown considerably.

In August 2023 I stated working at BetaDwarf as an intern, initially a lot of QA with incresing Design Game and Level Design responsibilities. In December 2023, BetaDwarf faced financial difficulties and had to downsize its workforce. Despite this, my hard work made me a valuable member of the team which earned me multiple extensions for a total of six months employment. During this time, I worked on various tasks, such as Game Design and especially Level Design for the upcoming level "Wolfwood". However, in September 2024, BetaDwarf was still unable to resolve its financial challenges and had to let me go.

I’m now seeking a new opportunity as a Level Designer where I can apply my skills, contribute to a team’s creative vision, and help bring stories and ideas to life through compelling Level Design.

Thank you for your time, and I hope for an opportunity to meet.

Best regards
Oliver Ringh
